Bertha Mvati previously held the post of VAELL Regional Head of Finance, overseeing the group finance and operations across Africa before moving to Centum’s Zohari Leasing as the Business Manager. She manages client requests and expectations, ensuring timely procurement of client vehicle orders and on-time payment of dealers as per agreed terms.
She has over 10 years’ experience in the Leasing industry across Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda and Rwanda with specialization in fund raising, credit risk, operations and asset management. She oversees the company’s operations and strategy implementation.
Anna Asio
Branch Manager - Uganda

Diploma in Taxation Administration
Anna Asio has been working for VAELL Uganda since 2013. She also oversees operations in VAELL Rwanda. She heads operations and also sources for clients, handles procurement, client management and legal affairs. She is currently doing her Masters of Business Administration (MBA) with East African School of Taxation.
Charles Wahome
Head of Accounts/ Treasury
Certified Public Accountants in Kenya (ICPAK)
CPA Charles Wahome is the Head of Accounts and Treasury at VAELL. He joined VAELL in 2015 as the Head of Accounts. He has a vast experience in audit having worked with PKF as Senior Auditor before joining VAELL. Charles also has immense accounting and finance experience having worked with various companies operating in various industries.
Lizzy Mutheu
Head of Internal Audit
Bachelor of Commerce – Accounting
Lizzy has extensive work experiences as internal auditor, financial controller and contract management. Prior to joining VAELL, she worked at Kenya Women Microfinance Bank (KWFT) as both an Accountant and Internal Auditor.
She has worked with the company since 2017. She also has extensive experience in the use of Computer Aided Audit Techniques (CAAT).
Susan Muthoni Kariuki
Legal Officer
Bachelor of Laws (LLB)
Ms. Kariuki is experienced in corporate legal related tasks, driving policy and implementation, performance and general legal review and directing facets of corporate legal aspects. She has worked prior with Global Initiative on Economic Social and Cultural Rights of Kenya and Miller and Company advocates in association with Manchester law firm in United Kingdom. She has worked for VAELL as a Legal Officer since 2017.
Solomon Matheka
Credit Analyst
Bachelor of Science in International Business Administration
Mr. Matheka joined the company in 2015. He has a wide experience in credit and business development. He has more than 5 years’ experience in Credit Management and Analyst.
Peter Maina Geche
Head of Finance - Tanzania

Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK)
Peter Maina is a Certified Public Accountant and has worked for various SMEs and Micro Finance Institutions including Faulu Bank.
