Sale Leaseback
This is an off-balance sheet financing in which an owner sells an asset or property to us, still retaining exclusive possession and use of the asset at a fixed monthly rental cost on a long-term basis. The lease arrangement is made immediately after the sale of the asset with the amount of the payments and the time period specified. Essentially, the original owner of the asset becomes the lessee and the purchaser (VAELL) become the lessor in this arrangement.
Benefits include:
- Freeing capital tied up in an asset for other investments.
- Original owner off loads asset depreciation costs.
- Provides the original owner with tax deductions.
